All our Djembe are authentic Guinea Djembe, professional Djembe built by professional craftsmen for professional drummers.
Most of them have a short haired rim surrounding the head (If you don't like the haired rim, it can be removed). They are put together to allow easy tuning.
The djembe originated among the Malinke, Soussou, Baga and Peul people of Guinea and Mali, but is now found in most African countries..
It is traditionally played to accompany dances.
