Ontario weekly drumming class: packages and gift cards:
Class packages must be pre-purchased, and are usable at your convenience in any weekly group class in Ontario. Classes Gift cards require a printed or electronic proof of purchase.
Gift cards do not expire - All class packages purchased after Sept 1st 2015 do not expire - Both Gift cards and class packages are non-refundable, and cannot be shared.
The free 30 minutes private lesson included in the purchase of your 1st package or gift card, is taught on Saturday afternoons at the same Toronto location.
The ongoing date and time of classes are subject to change with prior notice - "Alpha Rhythm Roots" cannot be held responsible if some classes have to be permanently moved to a different day or time. We might sporadically have outdoor classes in Summer, however, we usually have a class break in July and August.
Dedicated access to online drumming exercise and sound files are provided at our discretion, and only to students that have shown commitment and dedication to our school. These online exercises are for personal use only. Access should not be shared with anyone outside or inside our classes.

Private lessons
We have a strict 24 hours cancellation policy. Any cancellations that occur less than 24 hours before your scheduled lesson start time, will result in a full lesson charge. unless it is an excruciating circumstance, we must adhere to this policy. If you’re going to cancel, please email us 24 hours prior to the start of your scheduled lesson. All our private lessons are non refundable
Merchandise ordering:
Alpha Rhythm Roots welcome worldwide orders.
We have set up an ordering process that allows both credit card, and non credit card holders to make purchases (See the Payment Option" section below):
Your receipt of an electronic or other form of order confirmation does not signify our acceptance of your order, nor does it constitute confirmation of our offer to sell. "Alpha Rhythm Roots" reserves the right at any time after receipt of your order to accept or decline your order for any reason.
Orders are payable in full prior to shipping.
Orders will be processed for shipping within 2 business days of the payment being completed.
Once your order has been shipped, we will email you a shipping confirmation including a carrier tracking number that you can use to get a shipping status online at anytime.
Please note that most carrier do not ship to PO boxes.
Any additional shipping cost being the result of a non accurate address you provided will be charged to you.
Additional policy for custom orders - merchandise ordering:
All custom / special orders that require us to manufacture an item specifically for you in Guinea, are subject to the following additional policy:
- Only a 50% payment is required upfront
- The remaining 50% is required when we receive the item in Toronto, and before it is shipped out / delivered to you.
- ALL sales from custom / special orders are final.
- If the item(s) you received are somehow too different from what you requested, our general credit and refund policy will apply. (At Alpha Rhythm Roots's discretion)
Merchandise payment:
- Credit Cards
Please note that If your credit card is declined , you will be notified by email or phone, and will have 7 days to contact us with an alternative payment method. If we have not received a response after 7 days, your order will be canceled.
- Cheque
Please note that unless it is a Money order or certified cheque, the shipment will not be made until the cheque has been cleared - This payment method is restricted to Canadian Dollars. Get a cashier's cheque or money order from your bank for the exact amount, and mail us the cheque with a copy of the order (please make sure the order number is visible) - The cheque must be payable to Alpha Rhythm Roots. We will charge a CAD$25 fee on all returned (N.S.F) cheques.
- E-transfer
Online Email payment from any major Canadian banking institution up to CAD$2,000 per day - Restricted to Canadian orders.
All prices posted on the web site are in Canadian dollars
Merchandise orders - applicable charges and taxes:
- Canada:
Federal & provincial taxes applicable for all orders shipped in Ontario, federal tax applicable only for other provinces.
- International:
Orders shipped to addresses outside Canada will be subject to applicable customs, duties, and taxes, according to government regulations of the recipient's country. All such expenses will be directly charged to the recipient by customs, and will be the sole responsibility of the recipient.
(Usually only a few % from the total cost of good, and for high value shipment only).
Merchandise shipping:
Local Toronto-Canada G.T.A orders of $C250 and above are eligible for free shipping.
We are using "Fedex" , "UPS" , and Canada post for shipping. Other common carriers may be used for merchandise ordered from outside of North America.
The average shipping transit time and cost, depends on the shipping destination and option chose.
We cannot guarantee when an order will arrive. Consider any shipping or transit time offered to you by "Alpha Rhythm Roots" only as an estimate. We encourage you to order in a timely fashion to avoid delays caused by shipping or product availability.
The shipping cost is at purchaser's expense. We only charge you the exact cost of shipping / No handling fees or extras! The shipping cost is usually only a few % from the total cost of goods when using the most inexpensive shipping method for North American shipments.
Shipping insurance is available and recommended.
Please note that we do not ship on weekends nor holidays.

We keep your personal information private and secure. When you purchase one of our products or services, you may be required to provide your name, email address, address, phone number.
We use this information to process your orders, to keep you updated on your orders and to personalize your shopping experience.
Our secure servers protect your information using advanced encryption techniques and firewall technology.
To keep you informed about our latest offers, we may notify you of current promotions, specials, and new additions to our store. You may unsubscribe from our emails by following the unsubscribe instructions in any email you receive from us.
When entering any of our contests or prize draws, you provide your email address.
If you win, we will notify you by email. When you enter a contest or draw, you are also included in our email list to receive notice of drumming classes, promotions, specials and new additions to our store. Again, you may unsubscribe from this list by following the unsubscribe instructions in any email received.
We use "cookies" to keep track of your current shopping session to personalize your experience.
Drumming events:
We are asking you to make a payment of at least 50% on booking. The 50% balance must be paid no later than the event day. If you book your event with only 4 days notice or less, the full amount of your event will be required on booking.
We run occasional limited time special offers, that can be redeemed as long as the offer is posted on the website. You must mention any special offer at the time you request a quotation. Multiple special offers cannot be combined for the same event.
If you cancel the event due to reasons beyond our control, we will make our best effort to re-schedule another date according to "Alpha Rhythm Roots" availability.
If you cannot run the event at a later date, We have a 50% non refundable policy.
If you cancel after our staff left for your location, on the day of the event, the cost of the services will be due in full.
Each situation will be dealt with on a case per case basis, and special circumstances will be considered.
No video recording should be posted on Social Media (Youtube..etc) without our written consent - (Private use only)
Additional drumming event policy related to drum or dance workshops:
You must inform us of any learning and / or physical accommodations you need at the time of booking. This will allow us to provide the appropriate equipment and number of staff / facilitators.
When our staff arrive on site on the day of the event, should he/she find out that learning and / or physical accommodations is required that have not been requested upfront at the time of booking, our staff will have the right to cancel the workshop, and the cost of the services will be due in full.
Additional drumming event policy related to "outdoor events":
"Alpha Rhythm Roots" do not perform or run workshops in the rain nor in extreme cold temperatures.
By signing a contract for an outdoor event with "Alpha Rhythm Roots", you agree that we have the right to cancel the outdoor event based on weather conditions (If rain is threatening and potentially permanently damaging our drums, or if the outside temperature is so low that it prevents hand drummers from playing properly).
If you decide to cancel due to weather conditions, you will be entitled to postponing your event, as long as you communicate with us at least the day before the event.
If you cancel due to weather conditions, on the day of the event, you will not be entitled to postponing your event. While we are at your location and the weather prevents us from starting or finishing the performance / workshop, the cost of the event will be due in full.

For outdoor hands-on drumming workshops / circles, you must have a canopy / tent, or a covered area that can comfortably fit all the drums arranged in a semi-circle.
Most of our customers requesting outdoor events, have a rainproof setup or (and ) an indoor back-up plan.
We strongly recommend you have one as well.
If your event is in a public park, it is your responsibility to make sure you apply for proper permit, should a permit be required. We cannot be held responsible if someone issue a noise complaint and police shuts you down, or if outsiders disrupt your event.
Each situation will be dealt with on a case per case basis, and special circumstances will be considered.
The above outdoor policy automatically applies to all outdoor events with "Alpha Rhythm Roots".
Online merchandise return Policy:
- Exchange policy for non damaged shipment:
If you simply do not like the color or appearance of the item (s) you received, we will gladly exchange it once, for a similar item, should this item be available in stock.
This offer is applicable to orders of CAD$C250 and above.
You will be responsible for the packaging and shipping back to us.
Local Toronto G.T.A orders of CAD$250 and above can exchange merchandise once at no cost.
For all other orders below CAD$250, shipping cost for exchange will be at customers expense. (Please do not attempt to return a package without first speaking with someone in our shipping department, as such shipment will not be accepted)
Exchange request, will only be accepted up to 3 days after delivery. Exchange will be applied only towards item(s) received in original condition.
- Credit policy for non damaged shipment:
If you simply do not like the color or appearance of the item you received, we will gladly give you a credit towards the dollar value of the item for a future purchase. (Excluding shipping cost)
Credit request, will only be accepted up to 3 days after the delivery. You will be responsible for packaging and shipping of the item(s) back to us. All shipping cost will be at customer's expense. (Please do not attempt to return a package without first speaking with someone in our shipping department, as such shipment will not be accepted)
Credit will be applied towards item(s) received in original conditions.
- Refund policy for non damaged shipment:
If you simply do not like the the color or appearance of the item you received, we will gladly give you a refund towards the dollar value of the item (using the same payment method you used to purchase the item).
All Refund are subject to a 15% restocking fee (initial shipping cost excluded).
Refund request, will only be accepted up to 3 days after the delivery. You will be responsible for the packaging and shipping back to us. All shipping cost will be at customer's expense. (Please do not attempt to return a package without first speaking with someone in our shipping department, as such shipment will not be accepted)
Refund will be applied towards item(s) received in original conditions.
- Exchange policy for damaged shipment:
You have up to 3 days after delivery to report a damaged product.
Any visible damaged shipment should be reported to the courier immediately upon receipt, while signing the courier/driver's delivery acknowledgement form.

A free exchange will be applied for Insured damaged shipment only. (Please do not attempt to return a package without first speaking with someone in our shipping department, as such shipment will not be accepted)
You will be responsible for the packaging and shipping back to us.All shipping cost will be paid by us, and we will send you a new item upon receipt of the damaged one.
Damaged uninsured shipment are not entitled to exchange nor refund.
(You can choose between Insured/Uninsured shipment when you place your order).
Any other problem should be reported within 3 days from delivery. Past this delay, all sales will be considered final
Typographical errors:
In the event a product is listed at an incorrect price due to typographical error or error in pricing information received from our suppliers, Our store shall have the right to refuse or cancel any orders placed for product listed at the incorrect price, whether or not the order has been confirmed and your credit card charged. If your credit card has already been charged for the purchase and your order is canceled, our store shall immediately issue a refund in the amount of the incorrect price, using the same payment method you used.
