Ontario Weekly Drumming Class: Package Deals and Gift Cards:
Class package deals must be pre-purchased and are usable at your convenience in any weekly group class in Ontario. Gift cards require a printed or electronic proof of purchase. Gift cards do not expire. All class package deals purchased after Sept. 1, 2015, do not expire. Gift cards and class package deals are non-refundable and cannot be shared.
The free 30-minute private lesson included with the purchase of your first package deal or gift card is taught on Tuesday nights at the same location as the ongoing Toronto weekly class. The date and time of classes are subject to change with prior notice. "Alpha Rhythm Roots" cannot be held responsible if classes must be permanently moved to a different day or time.
We may sporadically hold outdoor classes in the summer; however, we usually take a class break in July and August. Dedicated access to online practice drumming videos is only provided at our discretion after each class, and only to selected students who have shown commitment to our school. You must have a valid class package and be actively attending the class to be eligible to receive the practice video material for that specific session. These videos are for personal use only, and access should not be shared with anyone inside or outside our classes.

Private lessons
We have a strict 24-hour cancellation policy for private lessons. Cancellations made less than 24 hours before your scheduled lesson will result in a full lesson charge. We strictly enforce this policy, barring extenuating circumstances. To cancel or reschedule, please email us at least 24 hours in advance, and we will be happy to work with you. All private lessons are non-refundable.
Merchandise ordering:
"Alpha Rhythm Roots" welcomes worldwide orders. We have set up an ordering process that allows both credit card and non-credit-card holders to make purchases (see the "Payment Options" section below).
Your receipt of an electronic or other form of order confirmation does not signify our acceptance of your order, nor does it constitute confirmation of our offer to sell. "Alpha Rhythm Roots" reserves the right at any time after receipt of your order to accept or decline your order for any reason.
Orders are payable in full prior to shipping. Orders will be processed for shipping within 2 business days of the payment being completed. Once your order has been shipped, we will email you a shipping confirmation including a carrier tracking number that you can use to check your shipping status online at any time.
Please note that most carriers do not ship to PO boxes. You will be charged for any additional shipping costs resulting from an inaccurate address.
Additional Policy for Custom & Special Merchandise Orders:
All custom or special orders manufactured specifically for you in Guinea are subject to the following terms:
- Upfront Payment: Only a 50% deposit is required to start production.
- Balance Due: The remaining 50% is due upon the item's arrival in Toronto, prior to final shipping or delivery.
- Final Sale: All sales of custom or special orders are final.
- Discrepancies: If the item received is significantly different from what you requested, our general credit and refund policy will apply (at the sole discretion of "Alpha Rhythm Roots").

Please note that if your credit card is declined, you will be notified by email or phone and will have 7 days to contact us with an alternative payment method. If we have not received a response after 7 days, your order will be canceled.
- Cheque
Please note that unless it is a money order or certified cheque, shipment will not be made until the cheque has cleared. This payment method is restricted to Canadian dollars. Obtain a cashier's cheque or money order from your bank for the exact amount, and mail it to us with a copy of your order (please ensure the order number is visible). Cheques must be made payable to Alpha Rhythm Roots. We charge a CAD $25 fee for all returned (N.S.F.) cheques.
- E-Transfer
Online email payment from any major Canadian banking institution up to CAD $2,000 per day. Restricted to Canadian orders.
All prices posted on the website are in Canadian dollars.
Merchandise Orders - Applicable Charges and Taxes:
- Canada:
Federal and provincial taxes apply to all orders shipped within Ontario. For all other provinces, only federal tax applies.
- International:
Orders shipped to addresses outside Canada are subject to applicable customs, duties, and taxes according to the recipient country's government regulations. All such expenses will be charged directly to the recipient by customs and are the sole responsibility of the recipient. (Note: These fees are usually only a small percentage of the total cost of goods and typically apply to high-value shipments only).
Merchandise Shipping:
Local Toronto-Canada GTA orders of C$250 and above are eligible for free shipping. We use FedEx, UPS, and Canada Post for shipping. Other common carriers may be used for merchandise ordered from outside of North America.
The average shipping transit time and cost depend on the shipping destination and option chosen. We cannot guarantee when an order will arrive. Consider any shipping or transit time offered to you by Alpha Rhythm Roots only as an estimate. We encourage you to order in a timely fashion to avoid delays caused by shipping or product availability.
The shipping cost is at the purchaser's expense. We only charge you the exact cost of shipping—no handling fees or extras! The shipping cost is usually only a small percentage of the total cost of goods when using the most inexpensive shipping method for North American shipments. Shipping insurance is available and recommended.
Please note that we do not ship on weekends or holidays.

We keep your personal information private and secure. When you purchase one of our products or services, you may be required to provide your name, email address, mailing address, and phone number. We use this information to process your orders, keep you updated on your orders, and personalize your shopping experience.
Our secure servers protect your information using advanced encryption techniques and firewall technology.
To keep you informed about our latest offers, we may notify you of current promotions, specials, and new additions to our store. You may unsubscribe from our emails by following the unsubscribe instructions in any email you receive from us.
When entering any of our contests or prize draws, you provide your email address. If you win, we will notify you by email. When you enter a contest or draw, you are also included in our email list to receive notice of drumming classes, promotions, specials, and new additions to our store. Again, you may unsubscribe from this list by following the unsubscribe instructions in any email received.
We use "cookies" to keep track of your current shopping session to personalize your experience.
Drumming events:
We require a payment of at least 50% upon booking. The remaining 50% balance must be paid no later than the day of the event. If you book your event with four days' notice or less, the full amount will be due upon booking. We accept most common payment methods, including credit cards, e-transfers, and cheques.
We occasionally run limited-time special offers, which can be redeemed as long as the offer is posted on our website. You must mention any special offer at the time you request your quotation. Multiple special offers cannot be combined for the same event.
If you cancel the event due to reasons beyond our control, we will make every effort to reschedule for another date, subject to "Alpha Rhythm Roots" availability. If you cannot reschedule for a later date, we maintain a 50% non-refundable policy.
If you cancel on the day of the event after our staff has departed for your location, the cost of the services will be due in full.
Each situation will be dealt with on a case-by-case basis, and special circumstances will be considered.
No video recordings may be posted on social media (YouTube, etc.) without our written consent
Additional drumming event policy related to drum or dance workshops:
You must inform us of any learning and/or physical accommodations you need at the time of booking. This allows us to provide the appropriate equipment and number of staff or facilitators.
Should our staff arrive on-site on the day of the event and find that required learning and/or physical accommodations were not requested upfront at the time of booking, they reserve the right to cancel the workshop. In this scenario, the cost of the services will remain due in full.
Additional drumming event policy related to "outdoor events":
"Alpha Rhythm Roots" does not perform or run workshops in the rain or in extreme cold temperatures. By signing a contract for an outdoor event with "Alpha Rhythm Roots", you agree that we have the right to cancel the event based on weather conditions (for example, if rain threatens to permanently damage our drums, or if the outside temperature is so low that it prevents hand drummers from playing properly).
If you decide to cancel due to weather conditions, you will be entitled to postpone your event, provided you communicate with us at least the day before the event. If you cancel due to weather conditions on the day of the event, you will not be entitled to a postponement. If we are already at your location and the weather prevents us from starting or finishing the performance or workshop, the cost of the event will be due in full. ​
For outdoor, hands-on drumming workshops and circles, you must provide a canopy, tent, or covered area that can comfortably fit all the drums arranged in a semi-circle. Most of our customers requesting outdoor events have a rainproof setup and/or an indoor backup plan. We strongly recommend that you have one as well.
If your event is held in a public park, it is your responsibility to ensure you apply for the proper permit, should a permit be required. We cannot be held responsible if someone issues a noise complaint and the police shut you down, or if outsiders disrupt your event. Each situation will be dealt with on a case-by-case basis, and special circumstances will be considered. The above outdoor policy automatically applies to all outdoor events with "Alpha Rhythm Roots"

If you simply do not like the color or appearance of the item(s) you received, we will gladly exchange it once for a similar item, should it be available in stock.
- This offer is applicable to orders of CAD $250 and above.
- You will be responsible for packaging and shipping the item back to us.
- Local Greater Toronto Area (GTA) orders of CAD $250 and above can exchange merchandise once at no cost.
- For all other orders below CAD $250, shipping costs for an exchange will be at the customer's expense. (Please do not attempt to return a package without first speaking with someone in our shipping department, as such shipments will not be accepted.)
- Exchange requests will only be accepted within 3 days of delivery. Exchanges will be applied only toward item(s) received in their original condition
- Credit policy for non-damaged shipments:
If you simply do not like the color or appearance of the item you received, we will gladly give you a store credit for the value of the item toward a future purchase (excluding shipping costs).
Credit requests will only be accepted up to 3 days after delivery. You will be responsible for packaging and shipping the item(s) back to us. All shipping costs will be at the customer's expense. (Please do not attempt to return a package without first speaking with someone in our shipping department, as unapproved shipments will not be accepted.)
Credit will only be applied to items received in their original condition.
- Refund policy for non-damaged shipments:
If you simply do not like the color or appearance of the item you received, we will gladly give you a refund for the value of the item (using the same payment method used for the purchase).
All refunds are subject to a 15% restocking fee (initial shipping costs excluded).
Refund requests will only be accepted up to 3 days after delivery. You will be responsible for the packaging and shipping back to us. All shipping costs will be at the customer's expense. (Please do not attempt to return a package without first speaking with someone in our shipping department, as unauthorized shipments will not be accepted.)
Refunds will only be applied to items received in their original condition
- Exchange policy for damaged shipments:
- You have up to 3 days after delivery to report a damaged product.
- Any visibly damaged shipment should be reported to the courier immediately upon receipt, while signing the courier/driver's delivery acknowledgement form. (Keep the package and call us at 1-866-496-7864 or 416-473-0759).
- A free exchange will be provided for insured damaged shipments only. (Please do not attempt to return a package without first speaking with someone in our shipping department, as such shipments will not be accepted).
- You are responsible for packing the item and shipping it back to us; however, return shipping costs will be covered by us, and we will send a replacement item once the damaged product is received.
- Damaged uninsured shipments are not eligible for an exchange or a refund. (You can choose between insured and uninsured shipping when placing your order).
- Any other issues must be reported within 3 days of delivery. Beyond this period, all sales are considered final.
Typographical errors:
In the event a product is listed at an incorrect price due to a typographical error or an error in pricing information received from our suppliers, our store shall have the right to refuse or cancel any orders placed for that product listed at the incorrect price, whether or not the order has been confirmed and your credit card charged. If your credit card has already been charged for the purchase and your order is canceled, our store shall immediately issue a refund in the amount of the incorrect price, using the same payment method you used.
